MyPart had the privilege of being selected to the gBeta Musictech 2020, a new music technology accelerator program created through the collaboration between renowned record label Capitol Music Group’s (CMG’s) freshly launched Innovation Center, Capitol360, and nationally ranked startup accelerator gener8tor.
MyPart was chosen for the program out of a pool of over 500 applicants, alongside five other impressive startups building music-related products, services or content, including Thematic, AuthMarket, Rimark, Sunhouse, and The Monster Musician.
The program commenced at the end of July 2020 and lasted for seven intensive weeks, during which MyPart worked closely with successful entrepreneurs, music industry experts, angel investors, venture capitalists, technologists, acclaimed producers, songwriters, and influencers to develop strategies to grow, gain customer traction, and pitch investors.
While the accelerator was held virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic, attendees were able to take a virtual tour of the iconic Capitol Tower in Hollywood, California on the program’s final “pitch” night, and visit its famed recording studios, which has hosted everyone from Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Paul McCartney, and the Beach Boys, to Katy Perry, Halsey, Troye Sivan, and Lil Yachty.

This unique opportunity was the catalyst for launching MyPart’s SongSource platform, in which the company utilizes its unique AI technology to give emerging songwriters a genuine shot at having their songs placed with top-tier artists and opportunities in the creative industries.
MyPart is now officially collecting songs from songwriters all around the world for placement with major Def Jam and Warner Music artists including Bebe Rexha, Cardi B, Ben Platt, Charlie Puth, and many more.
gBeta also paved the way for a collaboration with Backline, a musician accelerator founded by Gener8tor and 88Nine Radio Milwaukee to “help local emerging artists increase their chances of “breaking out.” As a result of the partnership, MyPart is now collecting songs from Backline’s talented pool of artists.
